This painting is titled “Now”.
It is about “time”. The horses are future time, they are traveling forward. The figure is the past -facing backwards. The eye-fish are what we see and do in the now. The eyes are fish symbols representing Christian values in what we do in present time. Such as the golden rule with the gold sky. The birds represent memories as in what we can see in our mind of memories. We can not hold on to time, so the figure can not grasp the yellow time circles of the past or moments of time. The future also has time circles and little suns to give bright hope for the future.
